Justification~a short reflection

I have been thinking on justification by faith as it relates to God’s plan of salvation and the fruit of reflection yielded the following thought:

Justification is not an end in itself but a means to an end. The end is glorification, the process is sanctification. Justification is the gateway to salvation~sanctification it’s process~glorification it’s goal. It puts us in the race to the Celestial City, while sanctification is the race and glorification the prize~ so let us run ’til we arrive, for the glory of God and His Christ.

To miss this truth~these connections~ is to misunderstand the gospel; to miss it in preaching stops people short of salvation; to miss it in life costs one the kingdom, since without holiness~personal, actual holiness~no one will see the Lord

One Response to Justification~a short reflection

  1. That sounds consistent with the traditional reformed description of the “Ordo Saludis”.
